For the worldwide reveal of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft entrusted Cherry on Top, the in-house video production studio of TAKEOFF Group, with a 30-minute live action showcase. Over six months, the team owned every step: concept, script, set manufacturing, the shoot in Singapore, talent management, keying, GFX and editing.

The show takes place on a pirate island set designed and built for the occasion: sand, palm leaves, weathered rocks, a tropical shoreline and the black flag of the Jackdaw hanging behind the hosts, so that viewers step into Edward Kenway's world from the first shot.

Matt Ryan, the voice of Edward Kenway, hosts the showcase and returns to the character more than ten years after the original game. Creative Director Paul Fu and the development team present the rebuilt gameplay, from parkour and combat to dynamic weather at sea. Core players who gave feedback during development have their say, and Matt sits down with Paul Fu and Jean Guesdon, creative director of the original Black Flag, to talk about the legacy of the game, the new story content and a first tease of a reimagined Woodkid track.

The Collector's Edition was unveiled for the first time during the show: Matt presented the Edward Kenway figurine and the hand-illustrated notebook on camera, just before pre-orders opened.

Released on 23 April 2026 on the official Assassin's Creed and Ubisoft channels, the showcase passed 2.3 million views and 130,000 likes on YouTube. Rebuilt from the ground up on the latest version of the Anvil engine, the remake launched on 9 July 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
